A police officer and a community support officer have escaped the sack after being caught having sex in a disabled toilet at their headquarters.
The male and female officers were understood to be on duty when they went into the toilet at the brand new headquarters of GMP’s North Manchester division in Newton Heath.
It is understood that the pair were captured on CCTV following each other into the toilet.
The male police officer and woman police community support officer were both given words of advice by a Superintendent rather than being formally disciplined.
One serving officer said: “It is a sackable offence. They are paid to police not have sex on duty.”
GMP confirmed that the two officers were caught ‘having relations in a toilet’ at the North Manchester HQ and they were subsequently given words of advice.
