The Journal News - LoHud.com in White Plains, N.Y. has posted an interactive online map of local gun-permit holders, along with an article called, 'The gun owner next door: What you don't know about the weapons in your neighborhood.'

The paper, which is owned by Gannet Co., Inc., has received much criticism for publishing the data which it 'legally obtained from the County Clerks' Offices through a Freedom of Information Act request made after the shootings in Sandy Hook.'
