There is a good chance Rep. Michele Bachmann may lose her Congressional seat in November, but she’s not going down without a lie-filled fight that will leave her with a huge golden parachute. [Whether she wins or loses, federal election laws allow her to keep, forever, her campaign funds.] Bachmann is in a statistical tie with her Democratic opponent [Jim Graves], and just sent a “confidential” fundraising email claiming that the “liberals working to defeat me have seen the work I have accomplished in Washington, and are shaking in their boots,” adding “the national Democrat attack machine” is “slandering my name and record of experience.”
So, what’s Bachmann’s “record of experience”? Politifact last year, in response to then-GOP presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty’s claim that Bachmann has barely any legislative accomplishments and is not known for getting results, reports that “Bachmann has served in Congress since 2006, and hasn’t sponsored anything that’s become law.”
