On Sunday (September 23) Moore picked up the Emmy for 'Lead Actress In A TV Miniseries Or Movie' for her portrayal of politician Sarah Palin in Game Change.

Moore paid tribute to Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, saying as part of her Emmys 'thank you cam' speech backstage: "Oh my gosh, you know what I forgot to do is to give a shout out to Tina Fey and Katie Couric because they had such an influence on the 2008 election, and I meant to thank them in my speech!"

In her acceptance speech, Moore acknowledged the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential candidate in her first line: "I feel so validated because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down!"
