Newsweek certainly has come out swinging lately -- in just about all directions.

Less than a month after Editor-in-Chief Tina Brown put Michael Tomasky's 'Mitt Romney's Wimp Factor' on the cover, the publication has come out with another zinger: 'Obama’s Gotta Go' by Niall Ferguson. 

Tomasky is a well known liberal journalist, while Ferguson is a well known conservative British historian. Although I don't believe Tomasky has ever worked for a candidate, from his writing it is pretty clear that he generally supports Democrats; and since Ferguson supported the Iraq War, publicly worries about things like immigration and Islamization and was an adviser to John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, I think it's safe to assume that if he were American he would probably typically vote Republican. So, no surprises about where those two are coming from. But what about Newsweek?

Exactly what it is it that The Newsweek Daily Beast Company is saying to America with these two covers: We're trying to be fair and balanced; We'll do anything to sell magazines; You're screwed, no matter what; Vote Libertarian...
